Introduction
At DISC, all our efforts are designed to get young people with SEND into the right kind of employment for them. Our curriculum and our delivery is based around experiential, strengths-based learning. This practical, hand-on learning is what makes us different and effective.
Live Briefs
Our interns are talented young people with a range of creative and digital skills across coding, illustration, photography and videography, 3D design, animation, website design, data analytics and digital marketing. The best way of learning for them is by responding to real world briefs provided by our industry partners.
Work Experiences
We work with a range of enlightened and engaged employers who partner with by providing briefs and work experiences opportunities for our interns. Our goal is to ensure that young people with SEND can transition smoothly into the workforce with the skills and confidence they need to thrive.
Employer Support
DISC has its own full time Job Coach who helps the young people make the transition to work. They also support employers to make the necessary reasonable adjustments in their workplace and help them get the funding support available.
